Currency adjustment is an important issue. But bigger concern
I have with SAP is accounting practice in EU. Some times they
are so conservative, it's better deal for us. But it's simply
too hard to figure out at this time. So I'm waiting to see it's
US version report soon to get better idea. PSFT's strength is
marketing force - aggressive.

re: PSFT's price. It hasn't found bottom yet, imo.

ps: I have no position in either stocks. I'm waiting for entry
point in both for now. SEBL looks interesting too.

One thing to keep in mind when you are trying the factor in the impact of FX on growth rates is the fact that as of January first it will be the EMU versus the US$ and thus less volatility.

JO,
Thanks for a very informative comparison of PSFT and SAPHY. It was excellent.

The decline in PSFT this week is strange. Since I've been following the stock, it has hit prices like this week's (on a price/sale or price/earnings basis) only when the NASDAQ index has been off 15%-20% from its previous high. The NASDAQ is only off about 8% now. Maybe it's a flight to quality in the cap weighted index or, as someone suggested in an earlier post, a dumping by the sector funds. Either way it's different this time and may create some really great opportunities for those who don't get scared sick in the process.

Regards
David
