Pete, Bad bet... Optics... Layer 1? You want to put your money on Layer 1/2 technology when the move is to build layer 4 switches? I'm not sure that's a good move...and to be honest I think the margins in Optics are inflated a bit for the short term..in the end this is commodity stuff. Stick with the network smarts - the software that's where the value add is. ;) OG

Quite right mighty. Optics is the only way to go. there is telligent tellium which makes optic switches (private) that could be the target. Lets see. just bough some more ascend. Immi
