Yest 3-com should be split to 1-com, 2-com and the real 3-com ( which will have high margin products.
Glad I did not sell this and moved to ASND yesterday. wouldhave be a catastrophe.

COMS held up amazingly well today. Futures tanked during the last hour of trading, resulting in a big tech sell-off.

Generally speaking, when this occurs, COMS follows suit; not today, though. COMS held steady. (Actually, it trended up. I watch COMS all day, everyday via a Level II, and it put on an 1/8 during today's last hour tech sell-off.)

If I were a betting man (and sans any negative news from the company), I'd say we have reached bottom on this pup...

regards,

JS

Wayne: Do you really see this dog heading further south? We are back to the same atmosphere when we were at 24 last time. Most indicators look that way anyway. Therefore, I am not sure it can go much lower.

Of course, I got this feeling that coms maybe going after another goat, or may even be taking on a goliath, all in secret. It has good track record in growing by acquisition (until USRX!). That is why it remains a dog, it is going to be buying rather than to be bought. While we are second guessing, the dog is laughing... It would really make sense to split 3-com into old-com, palm, and usrx. My feeling is that it would be forced to happen before long. It could be forced upon in its current form, due to a buyout, or from a merger that causes it.
