I was reading through this thread and you were comparing web based products. I saw the Vantive stuff recently - it's OK. I also saw a few of ASTEA's new products. Their high end service application is fully web enabled and it looks good. Also, ASTEA's new Windows based product looks nice.

ASTEA's latest product, V-Service, is a hosted service for its high end product.

ASTEA has a nice couple of messages -- browser based with something like 1400 user screens and 30 modules, a move to WinCE clients, a new Windows based Service Product (Service Alliance) for the mid market and a hosted system (V-Service) to eliminate the objections about managing a large database system and servers (not to mention there is no up front cost of licenses or servers), etc.

I am an investor in several CIS stocks, including ASTEA and Vantive. ASTEA (ATEA) has been down around $2-3 for a year. The news is they have a new President, VP of Marketing and VP of Sales.
