This email from JP Perreault, VP Manufacturing also may help others to better understand the situation. ------------------------------------------------------------- There are several important design characteristics that provide the basis for the pouch's superior performance over existing packaging formats. Straw positioning is certainly one such characteristics.ÿ The straw must protrude above the opening laser etched line and yes remain tight in this position.ÿ This straw positioning is controlled by the adjacent heat seals that are created through the forming process on the Volpak.ÿ In the instances where the positioning of the straw closing seals deviates, the Volpak operator can quickly counter adjust to the change - 'on the fly'.ÿ Our Quality Assurance program requires the continuous inspection of this characteristic and many other performanceÿ criteria of the pouch.ÿ Any deviations from our strict specifications are communicated back to the Volpak operator immediately for corrective action.ÿ It is important to note that once the Volpak is setup for our large production runs, these type of deviations occur rarely.ÿ However TCBG maintains a supportive Quality Assurance system to guard against such problems. Although we feel that we have achieved a 'near perfect' drinking system, there is always room for enhancements.ÿ In our ongoing R&D, we are continuously striving towards these improvements.ÿ As a consumer and investor, your suggestions on improvements are vital and instrumental to our philosophy of 'Continuous Improvement'.
