From Yahoo news Options Report:

Excerpt (referring to the buyout rumor):

''CNBC was talking about it today,'' said Paul Foster, investment strategist and editor of 1010WallStreet.com.
''We've heard it all before. Whenever the broadcast media gets hold of these rumors, they dirty the situation.
They bring in the nonprofessionals who get panicky.''

Mighty,

SRA or no SRA, ASND is way oversold. Loss of $1.4B in market cap cannot be justified by any measure by an $800M acquisition (really $500M if you include the $300M in cash).

SRA does not impact ASND's core business which is RAS and ATM. With or without SRA, ASND will be selling a buttload of ATM switches to QWEST, GTE, AT&T, NTT, etc. and this business will grow exponentially.

If Mory has something specific in mind involving melding of SRA technology with the CBX500, then I would expect him not to advertise it to the world and his competitors. Maybe he has a killer product in mind.

Perhaps I jumped the gun in my previous messages condemning this acquisition. Perhaps we should give Mory the benefit of the doubt. But even if this is the most bird-brained idea in the world, ASND is way oversold. No way does a $500M acquisition justify loss of $1.4B in market cap.
