Hi Ray..hope all is well ..I thought Clinton's implying that USA would help jumpstart Japanese economy was the most bullish thing for gold in long time..when big money hears that US announcing a policy change..money starts flowing..psychology changes, confidence builds and then fundamentals change..(just guessing of course)
(ps even the most bullish analysts on market appear to think that if Japan doesn't get its act together there could be worldwide collapse or something like that..thus would assume governments have to step in to save their own political careers..the rumoured trillion dollars in bad loans in Japan is even a great deal of money for GAtes or Warren :>)
ps..saw a chunk of ASA (41,000) go in on uptick
ps. saw huge crosses on ABX on uptick
what is the latest from South Africa
ps. ran into my professional market timer acquaintance who has a great track record..he says general market still is quite healthy..he relies a lot on market sentiment..time always tells

Ray: I very nuch doubt that prediction from the Hatt. If such a thing were impending gold stocks would be soaring, not collapsing. As you know stocks generally move before the news, not after. Unfortunately still looks like we will see new lows for POG and XAU before the big turn.

Sounds good to me. Pearl Harbor once. Pearl Harbor twice.

Do you think Japan will try to provoke the U.S., seeing that they sell so much merchandise here? I can't see this happening unless they think markets elsewhere will make up for what they won't be able to sell here.
