Lonnie, your viewpoint and experience of actually being in the trenches is welcomed here, but the fact remains is that MTEI is only 2 months old. We are not here to invest in a company with 16, 1600, or 16,000 acres. The 2600 acres in WV is not the reason either. It's this companies ability to acquire land and extract based on their combine experience.

And it won't happen this year, but next for sure.

<<One other thing, with your reference to Ted Streit, I do not know him personally, but the way you described him "he's been working hard on those orphaned mines hasn't he" tells me that he's probably one of your friends that sit around on tax payer expense doing nothing with you.>>

<<By the way who the hell is Ted Streit, and what the hell does abandoned mine land have to do with MTEI?>>

Actually, its orphaned wells not mine lands and he is just the guy in charge of environmental enforcement of the oil and gas industry in WV. Check w/ your local WVDEP office. They will know him.

<<I wish you guys would get it straight, are you mining coal or drilling wells?>>

All of the above. I believe the immediate plan is to produce gas or CBM using investments leveraged via the asset value of ALL of the resources. MTEI may never mine the coal.

<<the fact remains that WVONGA was set up for the sole purpose of attracting investors to WVA.>>

Actually WVONGA was set up to represent the oil & gas industry to the state and federal legislatures.

<< Hell yes, there is gas in WVA, it is not a gold mine that MTEI has recently discovered that no one else knows about. I don't have the time to make my case properly, but I will take the time the next day or two.>>

Might I suggest you start by reading Cabot Oil & Gas, Statoil (Eastern Energy), Equitable Resources, and Petroleum Development's most recent 10-K. They pretty much paint the picture for oil and natural gas production in WV. If you confine yourself to just exploration and production sections, it is not too cumbersome. i.e., dont get into the gas contracts, transmission sections, etc.

<<What's your motivation eric?>>

I am a shareholder who has invested a great deal of time in this thread and in his research of the issues - at least the technical ones. Notice I don't ask "What's yours?"

<<As I said before Eric, I'm not an engineer, but I am also not a moron.>>

Never said you were. I'm not an engineer either. Just a lowly geologist.

<<I've said that is not truthful and honest and I'll never post again on this thread.>>

While I'm sure not intentionally, your statement that no oil has been produced from Lincoln County and your statements that little gas is produced there is wrong and misleading. This prompted my posting of the official statistics last night.

<<Both the USGS estimates and the profit margin on coal production was grossly overstated. (and that's an understatement) >>

You may be right on profit margin that remains to be seen but many experts in the industry have stated exactly the opposite in reagrds to USGS estimates in their resource studies - the USGS reportedly underestimates coal volumes by 25-40%.

<<The problem with the SEC will, in all likelihood be over property valuation.>>

That remains to be seen.

Good luck in your research on MTEI. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

Eric
