Vapor! Vibration Specifications! (finally)

Check this out. The Vibration specs for Vapor! finally showed up on Iomega's new Webpage this month:

iomega.com
Operating 1.0g P.P 5-17Hz
Non-operating 1.3g P.P 5-27Hz

1.0 G!!! ONE FREAKING G!!

So, if you move the Vapor!drive in any way during operation, there is a good chance you can screw up your data. One G.

What a joke! If you think these latest Vapor! specs are a riot, just wait until they finally get the balls to publish the power drain
of Vapor! Iomega always seems to leave the bad news for last.

Ben, Click! vibration spec compared to IBM TravelStar's:

non-operating operating
Click! 1.3 G P.P 5-27Hz 1.0 G P.P 5-17Hz

IBM TravelStar:
non-operating operating
Vibration
(random(RMS)) 3.01 G (5 to 500 Hz) 0.67 G (5 to 500 Hz)

storage.ibm.com

I have no expertise in this area, so won't comment, except
that the numbers for both products are comparable.

<sarcasm> Of course there is always the possibility that
neither IBM nor Iomega engineers know what they're doing,
in which case they should come here for a complimentary re-design.
</sarcasm>

New Max-Pain Options Analysis graphs posted for Aug'98 options. The graphs are based on 8/07/98 CBOE data.

Max-Pain point for IOM is still $7.5.
