Gary,
RE:"And because of this, it seems that K6-2 is facing
a price disadvantage comparing to 440LX/440EX based
board. In my area, 440LX/EX board is around US$30
cheaper than MVP3 or Alladin V based SS7 board."

Where do YOU live? On pricewatch Super 7 boards list for $84 and up. Where can I get an LX board for $54? If super 7 boards are more, which I doubt, it's likely because they are in great demand compared to outdated LX boards. I don't know anyone who would buy an EX based mobo other than large boxmakers who can rely on their name for marketing.
It's a moot point because LX/EX boards offer no upgrade path...unless you want to run a new P2-450 at 66MHz bus. 66Mhz buses are old news...
