Thanks for the correction

CDR problems

I tried two different media and 1X and 2X. Each time the error message was the same. Something about a SCSI error. Once I wrote from an IDE drive to the SCSI CDR and then from a SCSI drive to the CDR. Always the same error message. I tip toe out of the room after I start the process.

I have had similar good results with 1X speed on an old Pinnacle Micro CDR. The writes that seem to benefit most from 1X are the ones with small files.

The 600 MB is one file. I have never written a file this size before and was wondering if there may be problems associated with large files.

I do not want to waste $ on coasters. I will pick up a CDRW disc so I can experiment without making coasters.
