Web: First create a Profile in QP Virtual such as C:\meta .Then in the QP scan module : use the following scan:

Output="symbols.lst";

ProcessMS="C:\META\ALLQP",VMS;

if Close(-1) >= 0 then
println symbol;
endif;

this will output in VIRTUAL format all symbols- it creates about 42 directories in MS format.
Then go to GET and set up a datapath specifically as C:\meta\ALLQP
or a similar location that you have created such as J:\META\symbols
follow ALton's guidelines for Metastock data and Alternate MS etc.

THen rescan in GET- it works for me.
I can read every symbol in GET.
MAKE sure to click OFF all other GET directoires.
