Webb- I suggest you follow what I said and run a scan which was in my post. This works and also allows one to rerun the scan say once a month to allow for symbol changes- example JBIL change to JBL and GET did not see it until I reran the symbols scan. This will incorporate all indexes and stock symbols in a set of files which GET then combines and sees as one file. But remember in GET to click OFF all other files so the program sees only one data set.

from help:

To use the results of your scans in other applications, such as Metastockr, use the ProcessMS statement in your scans (this will output the results in Metastockr-compatible format).

Syntax: ProcessMS = directory, type;
Examples: ProcessMS = "c:\meta",VMS;

ProcessMS = "c:\meta",MSDATA;

Directory is the root directory where the files should be created.
Type can be MSDATA for Metastockr-compatible files, or VMS for virtual files.
Normally, you will want to create Virtual Program files; they are faster, consume less disk space, and can be read with other Metastockr-compatible applications.
============================================
When you run a scan, using above functions the files are created the sub Dir has name of scan. if you hand enter, call up virtual setup and the list, then drag and drop to meta main dir. The power is in scans, not just getting 11,000+ files out there. So add the functions to scans.

Glad to see it wasn't hardware or program.

Web,

GET will just show duplicate symbols in the list. no problem here. I recommend reading the help before checking interpret metastock in GET. I also recommend alternate NAME 2 which handles symbols with #'s in the properly althgouth you do have to adjust your eliot wave parameters...
