Santiago, This argument about the OT has been going on for so long it is really a joke now. The truth has been posted many times and the people involved still just cling stubbornly to their own understanding. I may not have gotten your entire meaning from your post. The word clearly says that the Old Covenant has become obsolete and is passing away having been replaced by Jesus Christ, our New Covenant and perfect sacrifice. This will NEVER change, the old cannot be brought back because it was not perfect, it is not better than the new, so why would God bring it back? He wouldn't. You said: <<The old covenant has not been done away with; God has suspendid the old covenant "temporarily" until He comes in Glory to rapture the Church from off of this old earth as we take off the flesh and adorn ourselves with a body that will live forever in Heaven.>> The Old Covenant is not suspended "temporarily" to be brought back later although you may mean something different than what I am getting here. Hebrews 8:6-7 6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for a second. 8:13, "When He said, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear." As you said the anti-christ is going to re-construct the Temple and re-institute the temple sacrifices but God is not doing that. It is not a re-institution of the Old Covenant. That cannot happen. The anti-christ is just playing to the Jewish desire to follow their roots back to that time, and the Jews as a nation reject Jesus again as they go back to the imperfect law that could save no one. The devils goal has always been since calvary to keep as many as possible from Jesus and the Jewish nation has given him a golden opportunity to deceive them again. Greetings Santiago, Good to hear from you, and thank you for your response. I welcome your disagreement regarding the Old Covenant. Very briefly Santiago, let me say that for the first 10 years during my infancy in Christ I to listened and believed the " popular " christian belief rampant in North America today regarding, " rapture " 1000 year literal reign of Christ on earth ", " the great tribulation ", etc, etc. Slowly but surely as I studied the Holy scriptures, the Holy Spirit exposed these false doctrines according to the whole counsel of Gods word. It was painful blow to my pride, to admit that I had allowed myself to be deceived and follow the " popular" belief of the masses. I speak from experience Santiago, and am very much aware of how " pride " attempts to raise it's ugly head and deter us from the truth. But thanks be forever unto the Holy Spirit, who will always lead Gods children into the truths of the Word. The false belief that the Old Covenant has been suspended by God, originated in the futility of mens minds. Hebrews 8:13 says, " He has made the first ( Covenant ) obsolete ", not " temporarily suspended ", as you say. How can you violate the integrity of Gods Word by adding words not in the Bible , then build " false doctrines " out of these words.. << I assume that it will continue.......... >>, Please assume nothing Santiago, but the leading of the Holy Spirit, who will guide you into all truth. The main truth we " know " and share by faith and experience, Santiago, is that " Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father ". May God grant unto you spiritual understanding according to the desires of your heart and also protect you from things that are contrary to His Word. Robert
