The thing that bothers me about that theory is the number of 5,000 and 10,000 share blocks that went thru the last 10 minutes on friday at more than the ask price. This is what caused the bounce of 110. I have a bearish position in AMZN and was surprised to see this level of buying interest so late in the day.

There is a new Yahoo! Profile resource for tracking AMZN fundamentals, and the fundamentals of other stocks: If you go to Yahoo! and click on "Profile", there's a new link in the Profile report, "More from MarketGuide", and click on "Highlights", or "Performance". Once you're on the Marketguide page, there's a set of menus you can click on. One is "Ownership", which gives the Vickers summary. Here's the Amazon link: yahoo.marketguide.com The "Comparison" link is nice. Compares the stock to industry group, sector, and the S&P giving lots of ratios. For AMZN, all this is pretty meaningless. Interesting though, the criteria cited by the mutual fund guy featured in this weekend's Barron's, "Price to Cash Flow" is very weak for AMZN ... we know that isn't why he bought AMZN. :) The Vickers ownership report is as follows: Institutional Ownership % Shares Owned 22.87 # of Institutions 92 Total Shares Held (Mil) 11.308 3 Mo.
