Debs, why such a gloomy outlook? You predicted 63 wouldn't hold and that CMGI would go much lower. It didn't. You predict GCTY will disappoint us, but I can't find anyone else saying that in public, can you? Are you short CMGI? Do you feel that CMGI's longterm prospects are also bad?

Here's how I see it: We've had a typical (for CMGI) correction and now I say that we're poised for some outstanding upside. If you're short, this might be a good time to consider covering and preserving your funds.

The positive Clinton effect on the stock market has always been a very foolish myth, and I would find it a very healthy trend if that psychological factor was finally washed out by this summer correction.

If one could only predict political events, stock prices would be a piece of cake. But longer run, the tenuous position of this administration and its party increases the probability (albeit slightly) that tax sanity may eventually find a home in Washington.

Long run, that's very good for markets and the economy in general. Entrenched corruption in the government has been an increasing negative for investments for many decades. And the tendency to accept the corruption on the part of the 25% of us who favor this president is the most dangerous trend of all!

I would personally tolerate a severe correction caused by the destruction of this cretin's political career for the good it would do the country (& eventually the economy and markets).
