It was DiGenova's statement that was not followed up with a question. We'll probably see more on this the next week.

I think the case will be reopened because subsequent to the dismissal, the US Supreme Court settled the open issue as to whether a claimant such as Jones needed to show some sort of direct injury from inappropriate behavior such as Clinton was alleged to have committed. Although I don't support Clinton, the decision which states no direct injury need be shown is somewhat a chilling prospect to me as an employer. Nevertheless, I think the case will be reopened and if Clinton admits he has been lying, then Jones may well have a claim that Clinton violated his civil rights by abuse of his office. I suspect also that if no direct injury needs to be shown testimony about Lewinsky, Willey, et al., may well be deeded relevant to show a pattern of behavior which lends credibility to Ms. Jones. I myself have not reconciled whether I believe her or not. Like Starr, she seems to have a tin ear for the politics of these matters. JLA
