Hey Barb,

I think an important issue here is will there be precidents set considering the changes in trading i e via the web. The lines between paid shills, and self motivated share owners has become thinner. The line may be in the process of being moved.

While I doubt that simple hyping and trashing of stocks will incur the wrath of any judicial body, orchestration may become a hardtarget.

Defining orchestration I feel will be the key to this issue. You and I and a few friends could if we had enough money decide to buy up a nice chunk of stock. Five of us could conceivable own collectively up to 16% without anyone noticing as we appears as individuals. Dumping that much would definitely raise some eyebrows, and the hunt for a connection between parties begins.

If we met on a chat site and decided to all buy a bunch of shares and sell them all at the same time, we are orchestrating, but alas the malady of the judicial system a la SEC. Where to draw the line.
