Hi Jack, As our resident Javite, maybe you could shed some light on possible Java investment ideas. I simply don't seem to have the background to understand most of what's been discussed here on various SI threads. One spot (I can't remember the chip designer's name) was looking to build a pure Java oriented chip to eliminate the encumbrances of the Wintel cast system. If I understood correctly, Java run on Wintel systems is okay, but if it were run on an optimized chip for Java, that would be the cat's fanny.

Even a general overview would be much appreciated.

Best regards, Tom
