aj, I think this weekend of education has led me to that realization. I'm looking at multiple ECN setups and will choose one. <I just can't imagine someone trying to make their living trading and not giving themselves the tools> Execution systems are only one piece of the puzzle. I know a lot of full timers who are still using DOS programmed buy and sell signals successfully. My technical analysis and tape reading skills are quite strong and I can make a nice living getting filled at the printed bid/ask. But I can smell a rat when getting slipped like this repeatedly. One thing I've noticed from reading through the EDT threads on SI is how unprepared many of the new users are. The technology is very sexy and I'm sure there's a belief the market number flow is easier to read than it really is. The dropout must be as high as the futures 90% failure rate. Alan
