Sonki, I don't like Amat or NVLS yet. In fact, I don't like Novellus ever, but AMAT is one I buy at cyclical bottoms.

I am not trying to pick at you, but nearly every note I see about the chip equipment sector is from people who believe they are bottom fishing. I've seen bottoms in these types of stocks before and, IMHO, we have yet to see any capitulation of the bulls. Everyone is looking over the valley to the next peak when we have just moved an inch or two down from the last peak. Both stocks are about 40 pct. above their 52 week lows and are higher than they were during the great growth spurt of 1995. So, I think we have a lot more pain to see before these stocks hit bottom.

I agree that AMAT is a good co. The stock is just way overpriced.
