DAVID or anybody who can answer,

I have a question to ask that I should know the answer to but don't.

If Vivus has an outstanding of about 31 million shares and a float of about 21 million shares then who owns or controls the 10 million shares that are part of the outstanding but not part of the float??

I assumed that those shares are company owned to be used as needed to raise capital or as employee options but I do not know for sure. Who can answer this question?

>>Funds 14%<<

Hmmmmm that means all the funds that dont hold stocks below 10, that hold stocks with negative growth, that dont hold stocks with problems etc are now out..

Fund now Hold 4.2mil shares. Guess its us lil suckers thats holding the rest 30 mil or so then. I dont think they add the shorted shares to the %centages..

DAVID,

I don't think that 14% is correct. Please verify this from a second source.

DAVID,

I think we are using the wrong terminology. I said "institutional" ownership was 41% as of mid June. Now if IBD defines institutional ownership as funds, banks and management then your numbers add up to 44% which would seem about right compared to my numbers. So in fact "institutional" ownership is up 3% from mid June.
