Christine,
You seem to be trying to make me into a primary color when I'm pastel clear through. I seldom see things in terms of extremism or place people in right or wrong camps. I live on a sliding scale, and I readjust people and ideas constantly along it, as I skate back and forth. (How's that for a bunch of mixed metaphors?)
For instance you sent me scurrying to my post when you wrote-
While I think you might see all this as just strident and unpleasant, I really do find it stimulating, I wondered why, if I thought that, I had put myself through this agony for two plus years!
And I found I had written
My meaning was that it gives the writer more personal pleasure than it effects any real change.
and I love the Internet!
Strident, unpleasant? Well, sure, at times-I think people get downright unbearable-and I leave. But that's a far cry from seeing it ALL in that light!

You write:
Is it wrong to do this?
Of course not. I don't think I said it was. I had written in the first post
The greatest danger lies in believing this is a valid
substitute for real involvement.

I was offering the opposite side of this forum (because I thought it was being ignored)where people can have an illusion of accomplishment without really doing anything. It's when you try to label any of what's said here as "right" or "wrong" that all the troubles start. It's all just one person's viewpoint. And what's wrong for one may be absolutely right for another. The exchange of ideas is a wonderful opportunity---(but again-I'm not convinced people really are listening as much as they could). It's the negative feelings of it that bother me--just as it would bother me in 3D. But right-wrong---my brain doesn't compute like that.

No rain here yet....although East Dallas got some this morning.
