Don't forget also, that G* gets a free Zenit launch if any Zenit's fail. A big incentive to get it right.

Valueman: Never doubted that G* would line up more launches, glad to hear they have the sense to line up proven carriers. But those 12 Deltas, I thought included second generation launches. The thing is, if the Zenit does not deliver, I would say the impact on the start date would be 1 year minimum (out to mid 2000) That is if they are able to shift to Deltas and Soyuz real time, but who are they going to bump? The launch spots are full for the next year so that puts a more realistic start time out to say 2001. Ugly thought.

This market is really wetting my whistle to load up again before August 24. I may even take a spin down Renby's lane and load up some on margin. I mean heck, my entire professional career has been tied to the Russians, (nuclear submarine overhaul, DoD satellites and now Space Station) I might as well push the limit!
