I'm not sure I agree and that is coming from a skeptic.

Hey, I'm not a programmer and I knew what was up as soon as I read the press release.

I agree: to characterize this as CSHK "partnering" with MSFT is highly misleading. Makes it sound as if, at the very least, MSFT knows who they are.

Notice something, everyone: when two companies announce a REAL partnership or strategic alliance, BOTH companies issue a press release. Did MSFT have anything to say about CSHK today? 'Fraid not.

I have spoken to Mr. Alan Laffkas, President of Cashco and he has asked me to respond to the message posted by Mr. Mitchell (5167).

The Company applied to Microsoft to become a member of their Startup program. As he understands it not all companies and their products are automatically accepted. Further it is also Mr. Laffkas's understanding that part of the approval process would include down
loading the software so that Microsoft would have some idea of what the software is all about.

Mr. Laffkas, has an extensive background (over 20 years) in the computer industry. In the past Alan has had the opportunity to sit with Mr. Gates personally to discuss various aspects of the computer business. The press release and most of the wording found therein was taken right from the Microsoft email (to ensure accuracy) and was meant to inform Cashco Shareholders as to recent events. The Company believes it had a right to be pleased, since not every software product is accepted for this certification. No money is required to be accepted into the program.

In addition, Cashco can benefit from exposure provided by Microsoft who according to their email "we will post your company and product
information on a private webpage that we direct to the venture capital community." The Company believes this would benefit the company as a whole and the shareholders as well. We do not believe that Microsoft treats this program as a "yawn" or "nothing special." (my emphasis) as Mr. Mitchell would have readers of this thread believe. It is obvious that the more exposure the product has to the general public, the more potential sales of 11th Hour we can hope to make. We think being linked through Microsoft can help us.
There is, in our opinion, nothing FALSE AND MISLEADING(Mr. Mitchell's emphasis) about reporting events which have occurred and which we believe would be of interest to our shareholders. We believed it warranted disclosure, in our opinion.

So for the record:

The Company's 11th Hour Y2K product is available for purchase. Please visit the web site at www.zitec.com.

The Company's other wholly owned subsidiary, A.R. Brooks, is actively involved in the selling of Paws Only Kitty Litter.

The press release issued today regretfully had a tag line which was incorrect and which was released without the Company's approval. It should have read -- "The Company is a holding company
created for the purposes of marketing a diverse range of products both consumer and industry based. A.R. Brooks, sells one pet related product, wood based kitty litter, Paws Only.

The Company apologizes if any confusion has been created by this error.

While everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, and that includes Mr.
Mitchell, to make accusatory comments without foundation for a clear
understanding of the purpose behind the release( information) is uncalled for and unacceptable. One has to ask, if Mr. Mitchell would rather we had not applied for the program and if so, how would THAT benefit the company and its shareholders.

On a thread where there "appears" to be an insatiable demand for information, we just cannot seem to get it right...to satisfy all the "inquiring minds". The expression damned if we do and damned if we don't comes to mind.
