Don't mean to butt in but some products like DOP's ..like WOW..so I always specify them..

Depends on what you will use it with, Get requires DOP. Check your charting software. No effect on time for Dop. If you talking about MS rather than virtual, I would guess it doubles time and doubles disk space taken up.

try it, you can have many profiles. they are simple. Getting rid of a virtual or metastock directory is easy.

I can't get a download again tonight. Message says my ID and Password are wrong. This is ridiculous. Had the same problem last week on two days, but got it cleared up on Saturday. Now the same thing.

Seems to me, it has a lot to do with age. The original MS format had one DOP file per stock, which really helped eat up disk space. Later, MSW format went to one DOP per directory. So which level of MSW format a product uses makes a difference. For example, I have WOW 4 (not current) and it wants one DOP per stock, not per directory. I think WOW 5 doesn't.
