Maybe I missed a post somewhere, but does anyone know WHY the stock has dropped so much (percentage-wise) today?

So, if indeed anyone can post information (pro or con, but not "I told you so")that will help serious investors make important decisions regarding VLSI, I'd like to read it. I will do likewise.

Griff

Hi Linda, How long are those Puts good? Will you realize a nice discount from $15 if they come to roost at your account? Remember, I paid over $14 and still have to add commission. Maybe you aren't so far off after all.

One thing I checked today is VLSI's Convertible Subordinated Debenture. It's an 8-1/4%, 2005 convertible with a conversion feature at $54.80 per share. Usually if things are really bad at a company, the convert's also get hit. The reason is worry about the company's ability to fulfill its bond obligations.

However, much to my relief and surprise, the bond is trading at $97.50 per unit or almost par value! Maybe this will comfort some of the rest of the LONGS out there as well.

Best regards, Tom
