Jim,

I don't see how adding an onboard L2 can cause this to happen. If it was possible, then PII would run 50% faster than K6. (The most important difference between PII and K6 is that PII has a tightly coupled L2.) Unless K6-3 has further architectural enhancements, I would be surprised to see performance gains greater than 10-20%, relative to K6-2.
