Important: 4 companies on our watch lists beat estimates after the close, please check the bulletin board tonight for more information. I will also include something in tonight's watchlist about them. One of them has been a 'classic' example of an earnings play as it was up nicely today and had been trending up since last week. I will attempt to 'chart' that particular company so will see the price patterns before it's report. I would like you to accustom yourselves tolooking at graphs, charts, results, of my watch list picks on the bulletin board. The Watch List will be ready tonight by 12:00 a.m... Thanks for your enthusiastic responses today!

Tomorrow 4 more companies are supposed to report and 3 were already up today and Friday, please stay tuned to the bulletin board as I post the 'quick' updates there. For Silicon Investor, you will be getting intraday updates on other stocks and 'news' items will be posted to the site as well, but for consideration of our subscribers they will be different than the ones posted for them. Occasionally I will post to both sites as in the case of VTSS today, although I did post it on the bulletin board when VTSS was barely up 1/8.

DELL as an earnings play.. I've done "DELL" for 3 quarters, but each quarter was different. I plan to play DELL again. With companies like CSCO, DELL, CPQ, MSFT, even the Internets like ELNK, NSOL, MSPG, YHOO, LCOS, AOL... you don't even have to hold through earnings. The 'anticipation' is enough for 2-4+ point gains. I'm in my third day with CSCO holding through the vicissitudes of this market and I expect I will play DELL similarly. It's too premature to chart a strategy yet. It will take me to the end of the week to see. Whatever I do it will be simple buying of DELL deep-in-the money calls like I did today with ASND. There will be about 15+ trades I'll be making before the dell trade on the 18th...

There are 'excellent' DELL players out there on the DELL thread whose brains I like to pick and I will need some of their input as well. They expend a lot of their energy on DELL while I like to 'play the stock field' without focussing on any one in particular, so if you want more in depth analysis of DELL you would do well to lurk on the DELL thread.
