This may sound harsh - and no offense intended - but what is a good buy in price for ANCR. I held it earlier this year and sold at a loss, but not as much loss if I sold at the present price. I waited 30 days to avoid a wash sale but by that time the price dropped lower. Then lower, and then lower. Now as I see it under a couple of bucks I wonder if I should wait even longer. Whats the opinion here?

George, I noticed this from the brief:

< *** Switch illustrations and examples used in this brief are based on 16-port units. However, the
capabilities discussed pertain to all GigWorks products.>

This is consistent with Ancor's efforts to produce modular (8 port) products.

George,

Thanks for the heads up on the Ancor technical brief. I think I finally understand multi-staging now. What isn't quite clear to me is whether the cross-connect switches are identical to the I/O switches. I can certainly see the advantages of Ancor's approach when creating large, non-blocking fabrics. I was also surprised to see that there were three ways of scaling. (The "mesh" one was something I had not heard of before.)

There was another technical brief about their GigVision software. Has this one been up on the web site for long?
