Hi s., Netcom is a local Israeli company. DT results due beginning of month. Heard South America strong in orctf but I guess HDSL. ECI ceo again said is going to buy 100m sales company with strong U.S. business. If he means adsl why not wstl? Exactly 100m. Orctf waiting also SBC tenders results. Shlomi.

[france telecom and telecom italia] Hi Savo! i agree. There is a tender from FT (quite big, but not as big as the DT tender). Should be decided in Q4/98. Telecom italia is one of ORCTF's best known customers. They have sold a lot of HDSL (don't know the numbers) and they sold equipment for an ADSL field trial (even developed customized splitters). Good relations are within Dutch PTT. Field Trials have already started or will start in Switzerland and Austria. Maybe Europe will deploy more DLS lines than the US in 1999. DT: Siemens, ORCTF and ECI are fighting within DT. Even if DT is not able to deliver anything in large quantities. As far as i know, two vendors should be awarded. cheers s.g.
