Quad - the market is about as ugly as I've seen it in my fifteen years of investing - and that includes '87. And I'm hearing this from a lot of other well seasoned players.
The buying interest virtually doesn't exist (i.e. no more buy on the dips mentality).
Most markets are saying there is a strong possibility that we may be in recessionary mode.
The only silver lining to all this is that Greenspan has the window, and ABSOLUTELY SHOULD, lower interest rates. Things are too tenuous right now, and he and the other governors should get off their high horses, and drop rates now, before we have further trouble.

I think the NOVL hypsters owe this thread an explanation

I don't mean you Quad-K since you actually post information here but you know the group that you hang out with, the ones who never answer with information when challenged but only with their extremely valid opinions about Novell and vituperation whenever I ask for substance!

Well what is their explanation of NOVL's losing 8.24% today?
How do they explain a drop of 15/16ths on the eve of the Netware 5.0 announcement?

If it's just the general market tanking then perhaps they would care to apologize to those of us who mentioned ASIA here long before Ralph Acampora and were greeted by "Asia is history:" and "rear view mirror" comments etc. And if it is the general market then explain why Novell went down 8.24%, more than any other major software company?

Hey I can give you an explanation of why NOVL tanked, but I want to hear it from the self described "bulls", the rah rah crowd. Why are they so strangely silent? Where is the penny stock investor from Canada that doesn't buy Novell, and the Danti character who tracks my investments, and Mr. Smart??? Why aren't they buying on the dip? Why are they so strangely silent?

I would love to see them putting their money where their mouth is. Did they buy today? Who on this thread that is part of the no substance rah rah group has been buying today?

Come-on cowards, put your money where your mouth is. I dare ya.

========

For those of you that want to know, I'll wait awhile for some responses and then post my own analysis of current NOVL investing strategies. But I want to hear all those sweet nothings from those with nothing between their ears first!!!!
