John, That's an interesting interpretation that I have not heard exactly that way before. There are no scriptures though that say the saints are gone before the tribulation. The scriptures that are used are very misconstrued by the pre-tribbers. I don't want to be too forceful and create bad feelings. I do want to point out the inconsistencies in the pre-trib rapture theory. No scriptures explains a rapture, then more christians but not christians? being still here doing battle with the beast.
