Actually I like Interplay games but they suffer from the carpet bombing syndrome that they all suffer from to some extent. They especially dump a ton of games with the hope of getting a few to hit the target. This can be costly at some point. However with Interplay they are building quite a stable. Look for Fallout2 and Baldur's Gate to have brisk opening sales. I have to agree with you on Unreal. Initially it was breath taking but that feeling was fleeting and soon lost. Fallout has that addictive quality and Fallout2 should be similar but a larger game this time around. Baldur's Gate I don't know a thing about so can't say. At this point, I wouldn't touch GT.

Why did they provide a map editor with Unreal. Are they providing the editor for educational purposes. Seems someone could develop a killer map, submit it to a website, get it evaluated and a 5 star rating and maybe a job offer as a game developer.
