DH, You fail to recognize the market extremities are only short lived and generally are based on short term emotional reaction. You also fail to acknowledge that there is only a finite amount of oil in this earth and although worldwide consumption is on a down glitch short term, the long term picture has not changed. As for predicting short term stock prices you can pat yourself on the back all you want for being such a great market timer. If we all had your talent we would be millionaires. Many of the longs here can either believe that the sky is falling and sell their positions for huge loses or weather the storm of panic selling and wait for the eventual rebound. IMO many of the driller stocks are almost at give away prices. If someone wants to sell their stock at or near the bottom it certainly is fine with those who have decided to buy their stocks.
