>with every announced split the price of a stock goes up. I have never seen it fail and I've been at it since 1977.,<

Yahoo split two weeks ago; has gone down since. Compaq has gone nowhere since it's last split. Same for Warner Lambert and plenty of others.

Stocks rise without fail after splitting?

In March 1994, CSCO, trading at roughly $80, split 2:1 and the price fell to $19 by the middle of July that year. Over a 50% decline!
