Tom thanks for the reply. I was all set to do some buying on 4 out of my 5 stocks but ran into a problem. About two weeks ago I found out my brokerage firm raised their commissions, so I opened a new account with a discount firm and requested a transfer to them. Problem is that the stocks and cash are in transition. So now I'm FUBR'ed and can't take advantage of the 'buys' until the new firm gets the stocks and cash. I hope the prices stay down !!

This leads me to these questions:

What do I do with Newport now that I've input the prices for this week but can't do any 'buys' until the stocks and cash have reached the new firm ? Do I continue updating prices each week until the transfer is completed ? If I do, won't that put Newport all out of whack (I may then get even more "buys' and 'sells, thus muddying up the water)? OR, should I wait for the transfer to complete and then execute the original 'buys' first, and then update each subsequent week until I'm back in sync.

Finally, what about the 'buy' price ? Newport has today's price which generated the 'buy' recommendation but when it comes time to ACTUALLY do the 'buying', the price will be different. How does Newport account for that ?

Help ! I'm fustrated; I can't take advantage of the current fire sale!

Thanks !!!

Tom, others: I mentioned PMCS a few weeks back as an AIM possibility. Today they had a 20% off sale. Great company at a very good price.

Tom, The AIM portfolio for the Offshore Drilling Bits website invested the last of the cash today. All five of the stocks have used up their cash reserve. Now the only thing to do is to wait for the rebound (fingers crossed).

I'll update the website tomorrow morning. jump.to
