Just got off the line with investor relations.. This is what I found out..1st off I'd like to apologize to the thread for a comment that I made a while back concerning the CE mark given the D1000. The CE mark has very little to do with Dr's testing the device, as I mistakenly stated prior. To be more accurate it is closer to the UL label that an electrical cord would get here in the US in order for it to be "marketed" then it has to do with an FDA approval. period.
Next the questions that I asked IR concerning the D1000; for a meager $9k US this is what you get..
A non-invasive glucose testing device that needs to be "calibrated twice a day" via conventional finger stick method. So this means that if you test 4x's a day ( I understand this to be the average) then you get a twice a day break from conventional finger stick for $9k.
The day a person picks up their new D1000 at a distributor or clinic they will need to be taught how to calibrate the unit by a qualified technician / clinician. So, Biocontrol needs to teach the teachers to make sure that these units are set up correctly. My understanding is that there is a margin of error that the unit can perform within and still be considered safe. However any over/under beyond these "margins" could mean BIG problems for the user.
(IMO) Because the unit is approximately the size of a typewriter it would seem to me that it would not be very "portable". Especially if it can only run off of 110v house current. But I could be mistaken, the D1000 could come with a seventeen mile extension cord, for $9K it might?
Lastly, the meeting with the FDA has been re-scheduled for the beginning of Sept. according to Diane from IR..But she could not confirm what the exact date would be..
As I felt before the D1000's following generation offspring the D2000/D3000 will be the units that will make BICO a winning company. If they can keep their heads above water long enough to realize the future..
Other then that it's MO, that the stock will continue to act like a superball in a closet on anywhere from mediocre to huge volume and the MM's will continue to blind side "investor" types day after day as they reap the benefits.

Hope this helps,

TJG

The message said there was a delay because of conflicting
schedules with the FDA. I think we should see a move up to
the 1's if the internet holds true. Keep the faith.
