U.S. Equity Movers: CBS, DuPont, Perkin-Elmer, WorldCom, Final

Bloomberg News
August 5, 1998, 5:43 p.m. ET

WorldCom Inc. (WCOM) rose 2, or 4.1 percent, to 50 7/16 as
the long distance company was rated ''add'' in new coverage by
analyst Bruce Roberts at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson Securities
Ltd. Roberts said the pending merger with MCI Communications
Corp. (MCIC) will allow WorldCom to save on operating costs, as
each company has enough network resources to carry each other's
traffic, saving on network costs. Roberts said WorldCom's drop in
price yesterday makes the stock too attractive to pass up.
