Yes, cmg has created barriers to entry in that regard.<< I beg to differ but your argument does not hold water. If you have enough money you buy all the synergy and innovative ideas you need. The current pair-of-dimes is the portal/eyeball/e-tail business model. Any one with enough money can get in on that. You can even argue if you have all the money in the world you could put all the Yahoo, Amazon and AOL out of business. This is no barrier of entry. The correct argument is the quality of the management. The ability to recognize the next paradigm before the rest of the crowd. Investing in the right companies. This is what sets CMGI apart from the rest.
