Hi John, the current technique for thick SiO wafers is to take a low quality Si wafer, put a thick oxide coat on it, bond another wafer on top and polish it down to the oxide. These are so-called "bonded" wafers. Several places do this, including Harris Semi in Florida. It is pretty much limited to high current power applications. Thin SiO "implanted" is much more attractive in the long run. WFR does not have an IBIS implanter.
