Random musings: Step outside the Northeast and you realize that there are two banks that call the shots in this country now: NationsBank (NB:NYSE) and First Union (FTU:NYSE). I don't own either, but when the smoke clears on this wave of acquisitions, I'm going for it.

I was thinking about buying BFT after JD's recent enthusiastic recommendation until I found a web site where members of BFT were sounding off about their experiences with the fitness centers. I read about 1% of the recent posts and decided that I did not want any part of BFT
