#1 is not a new issue. Fonar themselves have stated that they would do as much though I have seen no evidence of it yet. #2 is a new idea it is not something I have ever heard from fonar just my own musing.

ps do you know why they call a Seimens magnet the "toaster"?

Dr. Fleckenstein, that reminded me of recent CAPR (Caprius) news which said that they were putting a dedicated breast mri magnet in a hospital or setting & going to share the scan fees. I didn't know they could do that. I suppose there is some reason Fonar couldn't do that but nevertheless the thought is intriguing.
