UCC sounds like a very good idea however practically implementing it is going to be very very tough for any political party in India. From what I have heard BJP will have a very vehement opposition from lot of political parties if they try to push it.

Dippy opposes anything and everything so I will not respond to his points.

UCC is a very contentious issue. According it the highest priority is a sure way of guaranteeing stagnation, or worse. Of course, if you are incapable of doing anything else, then perhaps you have no option but to shout from the rooftops about how the lack of a UCC is ruining the nation yadda yadda yadda. Which is exactly what the BJP and its cohorts are doing.
