Tom, I'm not short and have never shorted, but you must remember there are forces outside the US that will naked short.

Since there were very few shorts getting in the other day when it fell from the 15s it can be logically concluded that those were longs dumping. This is also supported by the fact that the decline was so precipitous.

I think the shorts have done their research as well. You claim the longs have done theirs, but mostly what I see here is that the longs have contacted company IR. Calling IR does not qualify as research, IMO. If in fact the company is selling snake oil, one does not call the snake oil salesman and consider his reassurance that snake oil is efficacious as proof that it is so.

Since the stock is hard to borrow, I would expect that the shorts will not let go of their positions easily. I believe most of your conclusions are erroneous, and the product of wishful thinking.
