Steve, were the females treated as property or as equals in this village you stayed at?

My wife recently did a college study on primitive cultures and was quite shocked to discover that many tribes today still treat women as property that can be sold or traded to other members of the tribe.

I'm not saying this is wrong, I just want to know how they get away with it. I guess if dad pins a price tag on you when you are two years old you get used to the idea.
