Dynatec Reaches Agreement With IMMSA To Provide Zinc
Technology To Mexico

FORT SASKATCHEWAN, ALBERTA--Industrial Minera Mexico, S.A.
(IMMSA), has signed an agreement to license Zinc Pressure Leach
Technology from Dynatec Corporation.

IMMSA is a major Mexican mining company that operates zinc mines
throughout Mexico and a zinc refinery at San Luis Potosi. IMMSA
is owned by Grupo Mexico.

Dynatec owns and licenses metallurgical technologies previously
held by Sherritt International Consultants Inc., formerly a wholly
owned subsidiary of Sherritt International Corporation. IMMSA is
the sixth licensee of Dynatec's zinc technology. The process
produces by-product elemental sulphur rather than sulphur dioxide,
the latter must be recovered in a sulphuric acid plant. Dynatec's
process can treat a wide range of zinc concentrates some of which
are not readily amenable to treatment by traditional processes.

The technology will be provided by the Metallurgical Technologies
Division of Dynatec which operates out of Fort Saskatchewan,
Alberta, Canada. The agreement calls for Dynatec to provide test
work, engineering and commissioning services, with ongoing
technical cooperation between the companies for a period of ten
years.

Dynatec Corporation, based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, is a widely
held Canadian public company that provides a broad range of
services, principally to mineral exploration, mining and refining
companies in North America and internationally. Its business
comprises three divisions: mining services, drilling services and
metallurgical technologies.

Dynatec trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSE") and the
Montreal Exchange ("ME") under the symbol "DY".
