The search is over. The television industry's first complete family of DTV products...........................................

InnovaCom conversion
InnovaCom, producer of MPEG-2 video compression products, has introduced the television industry's first complete family of DTV products, permitting broadcasters low cost conversion to digital television. Also new is a professional broadcast DVD Juke Box that plays 422 hours broadcast quality video using up to 200 standard or custom recorded DVD digital video disks.
The new TransPEG MPEG-2 Audio/Video Network includes a recorder/player, MPEG-2 encoder and decoder and video analyser. It converts all video streams to MPEG-2 as they are received by the TransPEG encoders associated with the microwave receivers, incoming WAN, ATM, telephone lines and even locally produced video.
The individual MPEG streams are routed through the communications system via a SoftPatch virtual patch panel. From there the streams can either go directly to any of a number of transmission devices and/or be locally stored on TransPEG Digital Video Recorders for later retransmission.

DVD broadcast Juke Box
The DVD Juke Box from InnovaCom is designed especially for broadcast, cable and DBS system operators who need to playback movies and extended-play programme material.
The jukebox can hold up to 200 standard or custom recorded digital video disks each playing 133 minutes of video for a total of 422 hours of programme material. It also offers four or eight simultaneous programme streams of either record or playback.
InnovaCom claims the system dramatically reduces the storage cost of video, quoting a per hour cost of between $10 and $15.
