Tip, I knew somebody would note that. My logic is that if I want to bet X on a position, and bet 1/3 X to start, I am not increasing my bet when I add my second third. If I bet 2X, then I am breaking the rules. This may seem like counting angels on the head of a pin, but my feeling is that if you have your maximum bet laid out ahead of time and stick to that discipline, it isn't the same as doubling up.
