There were other practices for conversion of Hindus to Muslims. Hindus were selectively forced to pay taxes, while Muslims were exempt. People did several things. They paid taxes... they converted to escape the oppressive taxation....they moved deep into south India. I didn't know Jesus Christ was a Christian! When did he convert? Was he a 'rice-Christian' if he did convert? <g> Jesus was a Christian under Grand Father Clause <GGG> I compare happenings in Kashmir to what is happening in Northern Ireland. Brother fighting against brother, just because he is catholic or protestant. One thing different here in Kashmir, Pundits are the most pacific. It is between the Muslim insurgents and the Indian forces. But why are the Pundits dying? What have they done to Muslim Brethren? JPR
